1. Parties
This Puppy Purchase Agreement (“Agreement”) is between Of The South Labradors, Runaway Bay, Texas (“Seller” or “Breeder”), and the purchaser identified on the signed copy of this Agreement (“Buyer”).
2. Puppy Identification
The signed Agreement will identify the puppy by litter, collar color, coat color, sex, date of birth, and AKC registration or litter information when available. For the current litter, the sire is Bobbies Remington Of The South (AKC SS49534602), chocolate Labrador Retriever, and the dam is Jeremiahs Belle Of The South (AKC SS35230502), charcoal Labrador Retriever. The AKC litter number is SS588210. The litter was born August 15, 2026, and puppies are scheduled to be eligible for rehoming beginning October 10, 2026.
3. Purchase Price & Reservation Deposit
The total purchase price is $1,500. A $500 reservation deposit is required to reserve a selected puppy and is credited toward the purchase price. The remaining $1,000 balance is due before or at transfer, as agreed by Seller and Buyer.
Reservation policy. Because accepting a reservation removes the selected puppy from availability to other prospective families, the reservation deposit is non-refundable if Buyer elects not to complete the purchase.
If, before transfer, the selected puppy experiences a serious illness, injury, congenital concern, or other circumstance that, in Seller's reasonable judgment or upon veterinary recommendation, makes placement inadvisable, Buyer may choose either (a) a full refund of the reservation deposit or (b) transfer of the full deposit to another available puppy from the current litter or a future Of The South Labradors litter.
If the selected puppy does not survive to the scheduled transfer date, Buyer will likewise be offered a full refund of the reservation deposit or the option to transfer the full deposit to another available puppy from the current or a future litter.
4. Transfer & Records
Seller will provide Buyer with the records and registration information customarily supplied for the puppy at transfer. Buyer agrees to provide accurate contact and ownership information needed to complete the transaction and registration process.
5. Health & Veterinary Care
Seller will disclose known material health concerns affecting the selected puppy before transfer. Buyer is encouraged to establish care with a licensed veterinarian promptly after taking possession. Any specific health guarantee, veterinary-examination window, genetic-health coverage, exclusions, documentation requirements, and remedies included with the sale will be stated on the signed puppy-specific copy of this Agreement or an attached health addendum.
Nothing in this Agreement should be read as a promise that a living animal will never develop illness, injury, or a medical condition.
6. Full AKC Registration
All puppies from the 2026 Remi × Belle litter are sold with Full American Kennel Club (AKC) Registration. Buyer agrees to complete the puppy's individual AKC registration within ninety (90) days after taking possession. Seller will provide the AKC registration information reasonably necessary for Buyer to complete registration.
The 90-day requirement is a term of this Agreement between Seller and Buyer. It is not presented as an AKC-imposed 90-day deadline.
7. Breeding Requirements
Full AKC Registration includes breeding rights subject to this Agreement. If Buyer elects to breed the dog, Buyer agrees that the dog will be bred only to an AKC-registered Labrador Retriever that is eligible under then-current AKC rules to produce an AKC-registerable litter.
Buyer further agrees to undertake any breeding responsibly, with appropriate consideration of health, temperament, genetic background, age, and physical condition of both dogs. Any resulting litter that is eligible for AKC registration must be registered with the AKC.
8. Care, Ownership & Rehoming
Buyer accepts responsibility for providing appropriate food, shelter, exercise, routine veterinary care, humane treatment, and a safe living environment. If Buyer later becomes unable or unwilling to keep the dog, Buyer agrees to contact Of The South Labradors before surrendering the dog to a shelter, rescue, broker, pet store, auction, or other commercial resale channel. Seller and Buyer may then discuss return, assistance with placement, or another appropriate arrangement.
9. Buyer Representations
Buyer confirms that information supplied to Seller in the application and purchase process is truthful to the best of Buyer's knowledge and that Buyer understands the financial and long-term responsibilities of Labrador ownership.
10. Entire Agreement & Changes
The signed puppy-specific Agreement, together with any written addenda incorporated into it, contains the parties' agreement concerning the sale. Any material change should be made in writing and acknowledged by both parties.
11. Puppy-Specific Details & Signatures
The final signed copy will include Buyer name/contact information, puppy collar color, coat color, sex, date of birth, AKC/litter information, purchase date, transfer date, amounts paid and due, any health addendum, and dated signatures for Seller and Buyer.
