Our AKC-registered current litter (SS588210) includes black, chocolate, charcoal, and silver puppies. Each puppy is identified by collar color so growth records, photos, and availability can stay organized from birth through placement.

Dilute genetics are part of this pairing and help explain why the litter can include charcoal and silver alongside black and chocolate. We believe families deserve a clear explanation of what color genetics mean—and what they do not mean.
The D locus influences whether pigment is expressed at full intensity or diluted. Charcoal and silver are commonly used breeder terms for dilute black and dilute chocolate phenotypes.
